Welkom bij "De Dichter"
Ons gastenverblijf is gelegen op de plek waar de 17de eeuwse Delftse boer en dichter Hubert Korneliszoon Poot heeft gewoond. Gelegen in de polder van Midden Delfland, bieden wij een vrijstaand vakantiehuis en een vrijstaand appartement.
Vanaf "de Dichter" heeft u in alle windrichtingen een weids uitzicht. U zult genieten van rust en ruimte in de mooie natuur, van koeien en vogels in het groene landschap. Vanwege de unieke ligging op fietsafstand van het centrum van Delft, bent u ook dicht bij winkels, cultuur, sport en spel, en gastronomie.
Bij "de Dichter" bieden wij een sfeer van onverstoorde luxe; een ideale accommodatie om aan de hectiek van het dagelijkse leven te ontspannen en de prachtige omgeving te verkennen.
Wij verwelkomen graag mensen voor een week of meer voor een ontspannen verblijf dichtbij Delft, en bieden hen een tweede 'thuis' (home away from home).

Welcome to "De Dichter" (Dutch for The Poet)
Our guesthouse is situated on the location of the former home and birthplace of 17th century Dutch farmer and poet Hubert Korneliszoon Poot. Located in the polder of Midden Delfland, it comprises a detached guesthouse and a detached apartment.
From "de Dichter" you have a grand view in all directions. You will enjoy nature, quiet, space, cows and birds and all at cycling distance from culture, shops, sports and games, and gastronomy, due to its uniquely close proximity to the city centre of Delft.
At "de Dichter" you will be embraced by an atmosphere of luxury and privacy and the availability of all contemporary comforts. An ideal accommodation to leave daily hectic life behind, relax and get to know the area that has so much to offer.
We cater for people that would like to stay for a week or more nearby Delft, and will offer them a relaxing home away from home.

ONZE ACCOMODATIE
Beide zelf-voorzienende accommodaties zijn voorzien van eigen kook-gelegenheid van hoge kwaliteit. Zorgvuldig gekozen materialen zorgen voor een gevoel van luxe.
Zij zijn volledig gemeubileerd met comfortabele bedden, en moderne inrichting zoals:
- keuken met oven en vaatwasser,
- draadloos internet,
- LCD TV en DVD speler.
Buiten heeft u toegang tot verschillende terrassen rond het gebouw. Er is voldoende ruimte om uw auto to parkeren.
OUR ACCOMODATION
Both self-service and self-catering accommodations are built to high standards. Carefully selected materials provide a sense of luxury.
They are fully furnished with comfortable beds, and modern conveniences such as:
- kitchen with oven and dishwasher,
- wireless internet,
- flat screen TV with DVD player.
Outside you will have access to several terraces surrounding the building and to private parking.
Vakantiewoning
In de vrijstaande vakantiewoning kunt u comfortabel met 5 (of maximaal 6) personen verblijven.
Er zijn 2 slaapkamers op de eerste verdieping, elk met 2 eenpersoonsbedden, en een slaapkamer op de begane grond met een tweepersoonsbed.
Op de eerste verdieping vindt u een luxe badkamer met douche, toilet en whirlpool bad. U heeft verder beschikking over een wasmachine en droger.
Guesthouse
The guesthouse is a detached house that comfortably sleeps five (or maximum six) persons.
It has two bedrooms at the first floor with 2 single beds each, and another bed-room at the ground floor with a queensize bed.
On the first floor you'll find a beautiful bathroom with shower, toilet and whirlpool bath. You have access to a washing machine and dryer
Appartement
Ons appartement biedt riant ruimte voor 2 personen.
Het bevindt zich op de verdieping van het vrijstaande bij-gebouw, waardoor het een prachtig uitzicht biedt over de omliggende landerijen.
Het appartement bestaat uit een woonkamer en volledig geoutileerde keuken, een badkamer met toilet en een slaapkamer met tweepersoonsbed.
Apartment
Our apartment will comfortably accommodate 2 persons.
It is located on the first floor of a detached annex, providing fantastic views over the surrounding countryside.
It comprises a living and fully equipped open kitchen, a bath room with toilet, and a bedroom with double bed.

WELCOME TO MIDDEN-DELFLAND
NATUUR EN RECREATIE MET DE STAD EN DE NOORDZEE NAAST DE DEUR
"De Dichter" ligt in de natuur van "Midden Delfland". Dit uitgestrekte polderlandschap biedt natuur, rust en ruimte. Het vee in de weiden en de vele vogels zullen u lang bij-blijven.
Nabij "De Dichter" bevinden zich enkele recreatiegebieden waarin 7 wandelroutes zijn uitgestippeld en 5 fietsroutes. Daarnaast zijn er tal van andere mogelijkheden om van de omgeving te genieten.
In 10 tot 15 minuten bent u met de auto of fiets in het centrum van Delft. Het is 7 minuten lopen naar de dichts-bijzijnde tram-/bushalte. Ook Rotterdam en Den Haag (en het Scheveningen voor het Noordzeestrand) zijn dichtbij.

NATURE, RECREATION, CITY AND BEACH WITHIN CLOSE REACH
"The Poet" is situated in the "Midden Delfland" area. This extensive polder landscape offers nature, space and quiet. The meadows with cattle and the many wild birds will leave a lasting impression.
Nearby "The Poet" you'll find various recreation areas, with public footpaths for (Nordic) walking (7 walking trails) and cycling (5 bicycle trails), and various other options for outdoor activities and enjoying the area.
Getting to the centre of Delft will take 10 to 15 minutes by car or bicycle. It's a 7 minutes' walk to the nearest tram and bus stop. Rotterdam and The Hague (and the North Sea beach at Scheveningen) are close by too.
